Boucheron's Exclusive Rugby-Inspired Creations

Dec 29, 2007
As an original way to pay tribute to the World Rugby Cup, Boucheron has developed a range of exclusively designed creations devoted to the sport, that were presented at the 'L'Art Emmele 2007' exhibition. The brand has created a MEC watch crafted in pink gold, a Diablotine men's ring crafted in white gold and embellished with sapphire as well as a Diablotine women's ring crafted in pink gold and embellished with green tourmaline re-designed to acquire the shape of a rugby ball.

'L'Art Emmele 2007' includes a series of events held around a contemporary art exhibition that allows everyone interested to see pieces inspired by rugby and the World Rugby Cup in particular. The popular sport is represented through original images, installations, sculptures, paintings, and photography works by well-known French and international artists, fashion and Haute Couture designers.

The first 'L'Art Emmele 2007' event was hold in Paris in 2003 during the Australian World Rugby Cup. The new edition of the exhibition took place in the Hotel de Crillon's salons and terrace, with the view upon the Place de la Concorde, until October, 20.

On October, 18 the 2007 edition invited the guests for an auction and a Gala dinner to benefit the Laureus Fondation that represents a non-profit organization. The Laureus Fondation uses the positive effect of sport to tackle most pressing challenges of the society around the world, and offers support to projects on every continent. Exclusive watch and jewelry creations developed by Boucheron were auctioned during the event.
