Thus the talented watchmaker became passionate about the heart of the watch. Soon he thought of opening his own business to manufacture watches. The year 1984 marked the first tourbillon made by Franck Muller. Note that at this period not so many watch masters were able to create complications, among them there were watchmakers from Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin.
The opening of The House of Franck Muller took place in 1992. Since then masters of watchmaking and jewelry have been continuously creating ultra-complicated yet beautifully designed and set with precious stones timepieces under one roof.
Today, one may find in Franck Muller's collections such watch names like Chronograph, Color Dreams, Tourbillon, Conquistador Cortez King and one of the company's latest collections entitled Mystery.
The latter includes two types of models: Mystery and Double Mystery. The former shows only hours and the latter displays hours and minutes. The Mystery watches are available with a bracelet fully set with diamonds. The Double Mystery models are available in blue, black and white, brown and grey color themes as well as models the cases of which are paved in diamonds or simply made of rose gold.
The Mystery collection includes timepieces that have neither numerals nor hands. Somehow Franck Muller made it possible to easily read the time on the mechanical watch with no hands. Inside these watches there is a special mechanism that reveals a mechanical arrangement that is situated under the dial. This type of mechanism was made only by a few watchmakers but most of them, if not all, dealt with non-mechanical timepieces.
Every watch from Mystery collection includes one or two discs, depending on the certain model, that show the time. In all mechanical watches the mechanism is made in a way that the minute hand drive is situated inside the hour hand drive. However, Franck Muller invented and patented the mechanism, which he placed in his Double Mystery watches from the collection. The construction of the mechanism allowed placing the minute disc outside the hours' disc.
The whole mystery of every watch is hidden inside a case made of solid gold and platinum. Additional chic is added with the help of blinks provided by the diamonds. Dials and cases are enriched with sparkling diamonds. Thus Franck Muller Mystery represents a collection of both extremely complicated and diamond set timepieces.
